The evening began with red carpet arrivals at
5:30pm, followed by a 6:00pm. showing of
“Monster-in-Law” and a post-film gala with
live and silent auctions.  

The evening caped off with a 10th Birthday
after-party to celebrate G-CAPP’s 10 years.

On the red carpet were Jane Fonda, Jennifer
Lopez, Michael Vartan, Wanda Sykes,
Director Robert Luketic, Dallas Austin,
OutKast’s Big Boi, Ted Turner, and others.
Jane Fonda now focuses her efforts on
community service and social change, with
much of her work devoted to the program she
founded in 1995, the Georgia Campaign for
Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention (
G-CAPP).

Fonda chairs this statewide effort to reduce
the high rates of adolescent pregnancy in
Georgia through community, youth and family
development, sustainable economic
development, and legislative advocacy.
Fonda has long been known for activism and
advocacy on environmental issues, human
rights, and the empowerment of women and
girls.  

The Georgia Campaign for Adolescent
Pregnancy Prevention (G-CAPP) in
partnership with New Line Cinema debuted
the film at the fabulous Fox Theatre as part of
G-CAPP’s annual fundraising event.  
Nationwide on May 13th, 2005 New Line
Cinema presents a Robert Luketic film,
Monster-in-Law, a comedy starring Jennifer
Lopez, Jane Fonda, Michael Vartan and
Wanda Sykes. The film is a Benderspink and
Spring Creek production.

Unlucky in love, beautiful Charlotte ‘Charlie’ Cantilini (Jennifer
Lopez) has finally met the man of her dreams, Dr. Kevin Fields
(Michael Vartan).  There’s just one problem - his mother!

Overbearing and controlling, not to mention volatile, Viola Fields
(Jane Fonda) has recently been canned from her job as a star
news anchor.

Fearing she will lose her son’s affections as she has her
career, Viola decides to break up the happy couple by
becoming the world’s worst mother-in-law. Helping her with her
crazy schemes is Viola’s long-time assistant, Ruby (Wanda
Sykes).

The gloves come off when Charlie finally decides to fight back
and it looks like Viola has finally met her match.
