Rare Opportunity to Meet  ELLEN COLCORD in person - World Headquarters  "COLCORD STUDIOS" --
7-10 PM Tuesday, June 7, 2005 - At the Woman's Club   in  Greenwich Connecticut
By: Gasby Melodi'
NEW YORK June 6, 2005 - - Forbes Magazine lists Greenwich Connecticut as
"One of the Richest City's to Live in this World".

Greenwich is little more than a stones throw from the Arts & Entertainment
Capital - New York City and the brilliance and energizing excitement of top
notchness pinnacle quality extends itself  to Greenwich, Connecticut
never ceasing to appease or amaze art lovers with continuity.

Quiet elegance is what
COLCORD STUDIOS Worldwide - 20 minutes by car
from Manhattan, is all about.

In 2001 Ellen Colcord created a series of gold leaf paintings for
Stuart
Weitzman Corporation, Beverly Hills, CA -
and then later designed a traveling
Weitzman display exhibit of "art shoes"  throughout the United States.
She's also the quintessential Ellen COLCORD who has taught painting in
Europe, New York, lectured at Yale University, and designed "artwork"  for 13
CD covers.

Make that 14 now that performers
COMBO NUVO will be performing that
evening on the first floor of the 3-floor mansion and unveiling their latest CD
with artwork designed by Ms. Colcord.

"The intrinsic spiritual values of all religions is what interests me.   I hope to
reveal divine presence in my own painting", Ellen COLCORD told me as she
and I walked along the beach and then sat down on a bench as the sun set to
do a one-on-one interview with the artist.

Colcord can but won't boasts quite an exemplary educational background.
The world renowned artist holds two Masters Degrees.  One in Painting from
Accademia di Belle Arti, in Urbino Italy, and Master of Art & Religion from Yale
University, New Haven CT.

"On June 7th we will expose my newest art and teaching concept - 'Zen and
the Art of Painting',
Colcord revealed to me and then explains.

"This is a Chinese philosophy of being in the moment and letting go of
distractions."

"Artists tend to hibernate and then share with the world or expand.  My studio
uses spiritually based modern icons referencing medieval period with a
Spiritual presence."

"I bring out the meditative and peaceful inward looking experience.  It is an
emotion sort of like going to church."

She continues saying "Colcord is a working studio. Art is being produced in it
with the working master.  We work with all mediums like oil, watercolor within
a grid system.  I teach small sections as opposed to approaching the canvas
as a whole picture."

"I teach that artist can be "blocked" - meaning difficult with new inspiration.  My
techniques are all creativity designed to flow more easily."

Ellen Colcord is pretty.  Factly ..very pretty - and she's smart.

Strike up a conversation with this marvelous trailblazer and you will instantly
notice her slow delivery and frequent bursts of laughter.  She has very strong
communication skills and her delivery is direct and succinct but also
engaging and fun.

Her works have garnered six and seven figures, displayed in Italy,
Westchester Hebrew Academy, Greenwich Arts Council and Soho, NY to
name a few.

Don't miss An Exhibition by Ellen Colcord and six of her students, along with
an exciting concert by
Combo NUVO on the first floor, a piano soloist on the
second floor and Colcord Studio on the 3rd. - A One Night Event - at the

"mixed media/materials on wooden door".
Here are two of the many Colcord paintings that will be on display throughout the 3-story mansion, at the opening.
These works are priced from $800 to $10K. A bargain for art collectors and lovers of divine ART.

The Supreme Court Ruled - State Laws Allowing Medical Use of
Marijuana Don't Protect Sick People From Federal Prosecution
By: Howard Stein
(NY June 6, 2005) - In a 6-3 ruling, justices found users can be
prosecuted under a federal ban on the drug, even if used under a
doctor's order.

U.S. government authorities may prosecute sick people who
smoke pot on doctors' orders the Supreme Court ruled Monday
concluding that state medical marijuana laws don't protect users
from a federal ban on the drug.

The decision is a defeat for medical marijuana advocates who had
lobbied successfully in 10 states to allow marijuana use for
medical reasons.

Ten states have legalized medicinal marijuana - 8 by direct votes of
the people  but the federal government arrests and prosecutes
patients who use it and the Supreme Court has now ruled they can
continue to do so,

Comparing Corey Clark's Alleged Affair With Paula Abdul

Semen on the Lewensky Dress" - Deutsch Owes
Clark Family An Apology
First Jazz Series on Network Television in 40 Years - National PBS Series Legends of Jazz with Ramsey
Lewis - Launches With One-Hour Special on June 16, 2005
May 6, 2005 - How dare Donny Deutsch
compare Corey Clark's principles to semen
on "a Lewenski dress", as Deutsch
condescendingly embellished on his show
"The Big Idea" Thursday May 5th episode
on CNBC.

Donny Deutsch is the obnoxious host of
CNBC’s “The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch.”
Donny Deutsch
(M-F, 10 p.m. ET) featuring hot topics, trendy talk and a
fearless approach to the big issues of the day.

Deutsch disrespectfully compared the alleged Corey Clark
and Paula Adbul incident to "a semen stain on the
Lewensky dress she kept and then later told the world", he
said, then suggested the incident is a "15 minute
footnote".

Notwithstanding - Deutsch ended the show asking Corey
Clark "Who are you seeing now?".

Clark quickly asserts, "No one.  I am giving 125% to my
career".

Deutsch then embellishes ""You should be seen with
another
famous person", no doubt suggesting that Clark is a piece
of meat who sleeps around without morals or principles.

sitcom "Still Standing" and multiple Grammy Award-winning pianist, broadcaster and educator Ramsey Lewis during the taping of a
one-hour special edition of the upcoming new national PBS television series, Legends of Jazz hosted by Mr. Lewis.
LRSmedia and WTTW National Productions are set to launch a new television series Legends of Jazz hosted by
Ramsey Lewis.

This national PBS series will debut on June 16, 2005 with a one-hour special showcasing winners of the National
Endowment for the Arts Jazz Masters award.

The 13 weekly 30-minute episodes will debut in Fall 2005 marking the first time in 40 years that jazz has been the
focus of a national network weekly series.

States Ramsey Lewis, "One of the most important reasons for me doing this series - aside from the pure
entertainment value is to document and archive this incredible wealth of experience and incredible level of
musicianship."

"
Nancy, Moody, Jon and Paquito and all the legends who will be appearing throughout the series are jazz and so it
really is like being treated to an oral history of the genre as well as fantastic intimate one-of-a-kind performances."
That's a non-provoked unnecessary
vicious act from Donny Deutsch and
he should  have the guts to accept
responsibility for his actions and give
a public apology to Corey Clark and
his family for his on-air
thoughtlessness.

Goldie Hawn Is About to Turn 60 She’s Still Cute and Funny AND
----- Now She's Rich Playing Ditzy Roles
"It has been a great privilege indeed to have served as a member of
the court for 24 terms," the 75-year-old justice wrote Bush in a
one-paragraph resignation letter.

"I will leave it with enormous respect for the integrity of the court and
its role under our constitutional structure."

Little more than an hour later, Bush praised O'Connor as "a
discerning and conscientious judge and a public servant of
complete integrity." He said he would recommend a replacement
who will "faithfully interpret the Constitution and laws of our country."

She voted with a 5-4 majority on the case that effectively awarded the
disputed 2000 presidential election to Bush.

She was on the winning side again when the court upheld the right
of women to have an abortion if their health were in danger.

Last week in a dissent in a 5-4 ruling that let local governments take
personal property to build malls and other businesses, she wrote
that the majority had unwisely handed more power to the powerful.

"The specter of condemnation hangs over all property," O'Connor
wrote. "Nothing is to prevent the state from replacing ... any home
with a shopping mall, or any farm with a factory."

"My kids will tell you. I mean last night? I put black eyeliner on my
lips without looking. … So, the answer is, yes. I can be ditzy."

But she's not dumb. In fact she may be the smartest dumb blonde
in Hollywood having made millions playing the type.  It’s an image
that started by accident.

In 1968 producer George Schlatter cast her as a dancer in the TV
comedy show
“Laugh-In”.  One day he asked her to introduce
some segments on the show. It didn’t go as planned.

"I was a little nervous when I went on and I'm a little bit dyslexic
which means I'm not a lot dyslexic but I do switch words
sometimes and numbers sometimes," Hawn said.

"So the camera went on and I got the words mixed up and I started
laughing. And I said to George, 'George, I did it wrong.' And he
said, 'No, Goldie, it was just fine.' Hence, the character was
created."

Singer/Saxophonist Walter
Beasley
“I think Sam Cook once said that the better singer is not
necessarily the better vocalist but the person who has the
better stories to tell,”
Beasley continues.

“I think I have some pretty interesting stories."

"I’ve just allowed myself to maintain my voice and try to be
honest about the feelings that I have and not try to get too
cute with vocal inflection or gymnastics."

"I think it’s better to just sing the song.  Speak to the listener
and tell the story.”

“There are so many different experiences to be lived,” says
Beasley.

“This is a blessing to be able to make this music and get it
out in front of people. The thing to remember as a musician
is that everybody’s going through similar versions of what
you’re going through so you write about it and it connects to
them somehow.”

Each track is extraordinary as it defines and redefines love.

"For Her" is a poignant message - sometimes love lasts,
sometimes it doesn’t but hopefully something is learned in
the process.

July 25, 2005 - Classically trained Bradley
Leighton's musical interests have always
been diverse.

As a young man he loved big band music
particularly Maynard Ferguson, Stan
Kenton and Woody Herman.
Indeed "Flow" not only showcases Blanchard's
prodigious instrumental and composing skills - it reveals
him to be a shrewd judge of young talent and a
bandleader of  dimension and magnitude.

"I've worked at the Thelonious Monk Institute with Herbie
Hancock and Wayne Shorter for the last five years,"
enthuses  Blanchard. "These conversations helped me
grow immensely in terms of  having confidence in my
own thing."

"When it came to producing this record I wanted I needed
to have Herbie’s (Hancock)  creative ability and his
approach and it's really been a life changing experience",
Blanchard reflects upon the journey with "Flow".

Blanchard gets enthusiastically when he talks about his
band   "
Brice Winston (tenor sax), has a great approach
to improvisation";
Aaron Parks (piano) I met Aaron at the
Betty Carter Jazz Ahead program. He's from Seattle,
Washington.";
Derrick Hodge (bass) "Is going in the
opposite direction that most musicians want to go. He's
just amazing."
Lionel Loueke (guitar/voice), "He brought
the band into the introduction and Herbie looked around
and went, "Whoooooo!";
Kendrick Scott (drums/effects),
"He's the kind of guy you give him a little information he
comes back and says hey, I checked out what you
showed me and I've learned it."

Adding sensationalism to
"Flow" -  Herbie Hancock
delivers
no doubt  his trademark pianism on two tracks
'Benny's Tune' and' 'The Source' when he.jams with the
band

"What you hear on this record is the way we play live,"
opines Terence about "Flow"
Yet he also found himself drawn to the R&B sounds of Tower of
Power, Earth Wind and Fire, and, the Brecker
Brothers.

Bradley's interest in Jazz and Blues led him to hanging out at
after-hours clubs in his native Seattle where he
surprised and pleased such local legends as T McGee, Terry
Camon, Leri Carter, Billy Haddon, and Mel Washington.

Now an accomplished musician and teacher Leighton spent
fifteen years playing in rhythm and blues bands, Hammond
organ trios, funk dance bands and straight-ahead jazz groups.
He also teaches privately and encourages young musicians,
"Just as my Seattle mentors had done for me", adds Leighton.

"Thang" features his flute in a unique setting, in collaboration
with a Hammond B-3 organ trio.
